From moments you want to repost to bridal party trends you’re eager to recreate, your wedding doesn’t have to just live in the present – it can be relived across social platforms for friends and family everywhere. This is exactly what Anastasi aims to do through her work, helping couples capture those timeless moments in ways that extend beyond traditional realms. Even if you’re not a self-proclaimed influencer or social media expert, Anastasi shares key tips and tricks for bringing content creation into your wedding, making it an unforgettable celebration.

A Digital Storyteller

Content creators are becoming increasingly prominent in today’s digital world, but what exactly does it mean? A content creator is someone who produces digital content – whether that be images, videos, social media posts or anything in between. These creators are now being hired by couples and wedding vendors to capture raw, unfiltered footage, offering an intimate, behind-the-scenes glimpse of a couple’s special day.

Inspired by her own wedding experience, Anastasi founded Time 2 Shine after feeling like something was missing from her celebration. “I started Time 2 Shine when I realised how much I regretted not having a content creator at my wedding,” she says. Anastasi notes that the demand for wedding content creation has skyrocketed in recent months. “I have found that content creation has taken off in recent times, with a greater demand for it since March this year.” Alongside her content creation services, Anastasi also offers an ‘on-the-day coordinator’ service, helping brides navigate the stresses of wedding day planning. “I decided to add my ‘on the day coordinator’ service as well, as I found not having one on my special day created stress for me, when multiple things didn’t go to plan or weren’t organised correctly,” she shares. “I love helping people and being able to make their special day stress free is something that brings me genuine happiness.”

From Idea To Influence

It’s clear that the growing demand for wedding content creators isn’t driven by influencers, but everyday couples who would like to share their special day with a wider spread of family and friends. However, both couples and influencers share one thing in common – a love for photos, videos and those belly-laughing behind-the-scenes moments that capture the true essence of their special day. While some couples want to document every moment, others are simply looking for fun, light-hearted content to share. “Everyone is attached to social media to some degree,” Anastasi states. “Social media has become a huge part of the average person’s life; capturing more than just the ‘money shots’ or ‘perfect video’ gives an insight to the true feel of people’s day.”

To capture content that aligns with the couple’s vision, Anastasi is dedicated to understanding them as a couple and what makes them happy. “I do a questionnaire with all my couples to make sure I understand what their needs are. I incorporate my professional touch along with their desires to make sure I’m providing the best reels and photos for them.” Anastasi adds that her ability to deliver videos and photos shortly after the event allows couples to relive the moments while they’re still riding the high of their celebration.

While some may dismiss content creation as less important than traditional photography and videography, Anastasi believes it serves a unique purpose. “Photographers and videographers do an amazing job at capturing the ‘picture perfect’ moments. Content creation comes from a different angle, capturing the ‘feel’ of the day.” If within the couple’s budget, she always recommends hiring both services. To capture the little moments such as the walk down the aisle, the vows, and disco-loving grandma, her content includes vertical and horizontal formats, perfect for sharing across all platforms. “I believe all moments are important,” she states. “It’s not until you relive some of these minor details that you realise just how important each and every moment is on the day.”

Content That Connects

If you’re considering hiring a content creator for your special day, the next step is figuring out how to choose the right one. With the online landscape constantly shifting, it can be hard to keep up with the latest trends, dances and popular audio for social media. That’s where the experts come in. “I definitely take inspiration from other videos I’ve seen online. I try to keep my approach fresh and unique,” says Anastasi. Just like choosing a wedding vendor, selecting a content creator can be tricky if you’re not sure what to look for. Some creators offer basic packages, while others provide high-end services like posting in real time to the bride’s or groom’s personal Instagram or TikTok and even drafting posts for you to publish. “The goal is always to provide what’s right for my couple,” Anastasi explains, emphasising that she respects clients’ privacy if they prefer certain moments to be kept personal. She also notes that her work often captures moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, like a funny slip-up during a speech or someone tearing their pants while busting a move on the dance floor!

As technology and trends evolve, Anastasi highlights that the art of content creation is constantly changing. Before hiring a content creator, it’s important to review their portfolio and style to ensure they align with your vision, much like you would with a photographer. One major perk, however, of working with a content creator is that you’ll receive your photos and videos soon after the event, instead of waiting weeks for your final edits.

The ceremony exit is a favourite moment for Jordan as “it’s upbeat and fun and everyone’s cheering and the smiles on the couple’s face is unforgettable as all the nerves and stress melt away as they take their first steps as a married couple.” It is important to remember though that when choosing songs for the main parts of the day, it’s always best to look at the lyrics of your favourite song to make sure they fit. Jordan also suggests that “sometime an upbeat dance song can be slowed down into the perfect wedding song.”

As the ultimate hype people, a live wedding band’s sole job is to get guests having fun, smiling and dancing. Using a formality such as the first dance or the father daughter dance is the best hack to get people up and moving. By inviting the guests to join the couple on the dance floor towards the end of the song, guests will be eager to join in and then “dropping a big dance song straight after creates instant hype and fun” while keeping people dancing. Other ideas to get people on the dance floor include the bouquet toss and fun games that have people having fun, laughing and out of their seats.
